During the recent Chinese New Year gathering, I met up with some classmates of mine and we chat about our kids and things revolving kids. Being parents now, what other topic would be more relevant than kids, right? Anyway, our conversation then turned towards stem cells and how some of them have actually saved their baby's cord blood for future use, when necessary.

I have heard about some of the benefits claimed through stem cell research. It sounds impressive enough that that little sample of stem cells could be generated to rebuild or replace damaged cells when the baby grows older. It looks like a process of prolonging the life of another. What is most interesting and exciting is that there are currently research done to see if these stem cells could be harnessed to cure genetical and neurological defects like those believed to cause addictive behaviour eg. drug addiction. It remains to be seen whether these research will bear fruit.

As for me, well...Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and whoever believes in Him, shall have eternal life :)

It's god that we believe. I always believe this - "if it is fated to be yours, no matter how, it will be yours"..
